iPod touch **iPod in recovery mode after updating to 2.01 PLEASE HELP**

I tried to update to 2.01 and it failed and went into recovery mode
and now even when i try to restore its original settings it gives me an error message...?

Please help. not sure what to do at this point...(

u can try to use manual restore
first download the firmware http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite...y=1218502499_d2013684b3e5bdceca706dac3ecd67af
2.hold option/alt n click restore n choose the firmware
3.restoring
