At school during lunch I am trying to connect to our school's wireless internet. It is saying that I am connected to the internet and everything, but when I open up safari it does not do anything.. I can connect find always when using our PC's at school.
I know our school's IT blocks all other internet browsers like mozilla firefox, opera, and I don't know about safari.
We also have to log into the internet using username and password..
Anyone have any ideas?

They're probably filtering the internet based on you logging into a school computer. If those are the set rules, you should probably just accept that as it's going to be a pain to get through even if possible.

if you know the user name and passwords, and its a school internet, you might be facing a proxy. my school, we havae the internet, but we can only access it if we have changed the settings for the proxy to be used and our username and password put in, try asking your school, if they use a proxy, for example my proxy at school is svr001.maryhare.org.uk port 8080
