iPod iPod laggish when turning off?

Sometimes when I first play a track and want to turn the iPod off (holding the play button), it doesn't turn off.. I have to wait for a few seconds before I can turn it off by holding the play button again.

Does anyone else have this too

Yes, that happens to me too on my 30 gig 5 Generation.

happened to me on my 4G and both my nanos. i don't know of any fix. i didn't have this problem on my 3G, though.

It's frustrating when I'm in a hurry and need to put it away quickly.

Ya, I've had that problem on my 1 G Nano (usually after disconnecting it from a computer and trying to turn it off too soon).

same problem on a 5g 60gb video ipod.

it also sometimes does this: if i plug something in the top jack then turn it on it will say 12:00am and wont play. i have to wait a few min then it works again
