IPod latest install issue

Just installed the latest OS to my IPod 5th generation last night. When I open ITunes the page is completely blank. (white screen) My music must be there since I can swipe up and see the controls and the player is running shuffle. I see nothing once I swipe back down. No music, nothing. When I connect the IPod to my MacBook I can see my IPod and even sync it. It even says my IPod OS is up to date.
What gives? Any ideas?

Got it. Synced it, ejected it and powered it down and up again and all good.
I have no idea what happened. Last night I also tried to update a couple of apps and it was 'no go'.
I'll try again now.
