iPod touch iPod less responsive after upgrading to 2.1

Ok I waited to upgrade to 2.1 for a LONG while and had 1.14 until about a month ago. I had alot of music that wasn't on my computer and never had the time to back it up.

Now that I've upgraded the one HUGE annoyance I've found is that it is less responsive. The place I notice in particular is when listening to music and you see the cover art and want to go back to the playlist and swipe your finger from left to right to go back. I sometimes have to do this 4-5 times before it actually goes back. Before I upgraded it went back instantly.

Is this a normal thing in 2.1 or is there something wrong with my software or iPod?

And one more thing, before if I flipped the artwork over to switch to another song from the album but then swiped to go back it would always take me back to the playlist, not the album tracklist and now it always goes to the album tracklist. Is that normal now??

ok I am unsure what you mean here, I have never swiped when listenin to music apart from when I rotate to see the coverflow view.

I normally have the attached image view and just click on the arrow and it brings me back to the playlist. If I want to see the album listing I click on the image to the right of the arrow and scroll throw listings.

I have never heard of the music player having a swipe function except for coverflow view or for scrolling throw tracks up and down.

hmmmm.. the swipe in 2.1 works for me first time. It isn't an immediate response though. I did notice the switch to 2.1 did seem to make things a bit slower from 1.1.5.
Edit: ok, trying again it does take more than one swipe, two now; but it did take one before it went into sleep while playing.

2.1 is certainly better than 2.0....just be thankful that you skipped that release. It was 'great' fun

2.1 is actually on a par with 1.1.3 speed wise.
I feel it still is a bit slow to respond and I find I have to reboot the iPod every couple of days to clear out the cache and speed things up a bit.
I'm hopeful that 2.2 with it's long overdue (Hello? Steve? You said September for background notifications for apps! What gives?) features and enhancements will speed things up again.
