iPod mini 6GB / HP isn't working....

I need help..... My mini isn't working anymore... One day it was working, the next, nothing.....

My screen is only showing the apple logo on it...

I've gone to the Apple site... And I tried this... But it didn't work..... When I do the Select & Menu buttons, the screen flashes, but then it goes back to the apple... When that happens, I immediately hold the Select & Play/Pause buttons, but nothing happens after that.....

Anyone have any other ideas on how I can reset it and/or get it functional again??

I bought this from the "streets", so I don't want to lose it if I send it Apple... I want that to be my last resort..... Thanks!!
 
Not sure what your problem is. Has it been near a big magnet or somethign like that maybe? It sounds like a boot file or flash has failed. Sorry I am no expert on the iPod ins and outs.

I you purchased off "the street" then I doubt that you will get much help round here, people can be very funny of that sort of thing. Good luck with it anyway...
 
Have you tried this one. As for off the streets can you check s/n on the iPod to see if it's still under warranty
