I bought a green iPod Mini (engraved) for my sister, apparently it's going to take 4 weeks.

Student discount brought it down to $250 ($230 w/o engraving).

Just a warning to any of you planning to buy one: buy a month in advance!

I think the problem is that Hitachi (I think that's who makes the 4GB drives), can't produce them as fast as Apple needs them. The demand is so great for the iPod mini that there just aren't enough of the hard drives to go around. Unfortunately, there is nothing Apple can do at this time to fix that problem.

I was VERY lucky when I ordred my iPod Mini... I ordered it like 3 days after the UK Launch, and it arrived within 24hours!!!!

This was from an Apple Reseller who had just got a batch it :D
