iPod music problem on 3.1

I just need to know if this is a widespread problem or just a little temporary glitch. I'm on the road right now and my iPod isn't listing a lot of my music. When I go into a genre it shows a few artists and then Various Artists. When I go into that, there are no tracks. The music that should be there does show up in Spotlight however.

Will this just fix itself when I next sync or is everybody having this problem?

I remember some guy in the 3.1 dev thread said that after he synced a few times everything fixed itself.

Problems with ipods in 3.1 sounds right to me..

Yeah noticed this, seems to be whenever anything in entered in Album Artist in addition to Artist.
Also have this issue with TV shows, if nothing is entered in as Show title.
