So yeah, I recently bought a new iPod nano (of the last gen, I think it's the fourth). I came all the way from the ancient mini. In order to remove to dock connector from the mini, I had to push and hold two buttons at the sides of the connector while pulling it out. Now, the nano's connector doesn't have these buttons (it's alot smaller too) so I figured I just had to pull it out but it's kinda, err, hard, the "this can't be right" type. I had to wriggle it out. Is it ok to simply pull it out with a firm... pull? Cause I get the feeling I'm damaging the iPod by doing so.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any wisdom you're willing to share on this one,

Yeah, weird isn't it? The older size larger chargers/cables work with it too which is the odd thing.

I don't think they would have left it out if it was going to damage the iPod...
So I think we are ok! - so long as you pull it by the plastic bit and not the cable itself.
