iPod iPod Nano and headphone controls

Hi all.

I have an iPod Nano 2nd Gen. running Version 1.1.3, 8GB. obviously it is quite old now, but I was wondering whether there was a way for it to accept commands from the Apple headphones with mic and remote? I use the pause, play, rewind, fast forward and volume controls a lot on my iPhone and I was wondering whether I would be able to use the great features of the headphones on my iPod?

I have 3 of the 2nd gens and none of mine accept the controls of my new iPhone headphones.

Nope, sorry! It just doesn't have the hardware to do so.
