im comming from a 3rd gen 15gb to the 4gb nano.

the only problem i am having right now is with the backlight. on my 3rd gen i have the backlight set to off so that it doesnt go on everytime i touch it but it still is able to go on when i hold the menu button.

on the nano i set it the same way but the menu button will not turn on the backlight. did they change this or am i doing something wrong ?

i not want the nano set to 2, 5, 10 etc seconds because then it drains the battery and i dont need it to go on wen i just want to change the volume.

thanks for your help

In a recent iPod software update Apple changed the function of holding the Menu button, it now takes you to the root menu....

bummer huh??
