Is the camera attachment for the iPod Photo software enabled or part of the chip set? If it is software only, could a software update for the nano allow the use of the camera connector?

I doesn't work and my viewpoint (not based on any insider knowledge, simply my thinking) is that it will never work. If Apple could make it work they would have done as it's an additional reason to purchase a Nano. I think that the Camera Connector talks to the iPod via the FireWire bridge in a full sized iPod. As there is no such bridge chip or equivalent in the Nano it's a no go.
