The SanDisk player actually looks kind of cool, except for the blue ring, perhaps. I like the look of the interface even if it is a Front Row rip off. Perhaps not as practical as the iPod interface, though.

I don't like the Samsung one:

It also doesn't appear that either of these are as small/thin as the nano. I just saw one yesterday and it still blew my mind; that thing is small! Plus, the longer these other guys wait, the harder it will be to catch the iPod. They're going to need to dedicate a deliberate plan of attack. Right now there aren't any mp3 players that really distinguish themselves from even their own pack, never mind the iPod.

EDIT: Well maybe the size is close. I still don't think it matters.

I wish some companies would grow up, they need to think of their own products and stop relying on designs and ideas apple comes up with and then copy them!

Edit: was was just angry then, They look okay!

Don't any of these companies get it yet?

Apparently not.

Untill you have the holy trinity of ITMS, iTunes and the iPod, you're SOL.

I agree, the SanDisk one isn't too bad looking. My brother bought a black Zen Micro, and I was quite impressed with the look of that as well, athough more of an iPod mini competitor than a Nano.

Still rather have an iPod though! I wonder when (if) someone will release something that is universally agreed to look better and work better than an iPod. As iGary says, Apple have got it pretty right.
