I have an 8th gen iPod Nano, and started using the Fitness feature for counting steps and duration for long walks/hikes. I want to upload my walks to MapMyFitness somehow, but I see even the original Nike+ upload feature for the Nano is no longer available.

Does anyone have a workaround to upload Nano fitness workouts to Finder, like it was possible with the old iTunes on Mac?

You can use Retroactive to download an older version of iTunes to macOS Catalina/Big Sur and regain older features.

Great, thanks much! Will give that a go.

I saw this as well at a MacRumors forum posting from 2018:

To solve this problem, you need to downgrade to iTunes version 12.6.3. You can download it from apple website:

https://secure-appldnld.apple.com/i...-9FEF-11E7-B113-91CF9A97A551/iTunes12.6.3.dmg

After installation, open the ~ / Music / iTunes / directory and rename the iTunes Library.itl file, for example: iTunes OLDLibrary.itl. Now you can run iTunes 12.6.3 without any problem.

If you use Windows, you can download iTunes version 12.6.3:

32-bit: https://secure-appldnld.apple.com/i...8-9FEF-11E7-8504-92CF9A97A551/iTunesSetup.exe

64-bit: https://secure-appldnld.apple.com/i...A003-11E7-8324-03D19A97A551/iTunes64Setup.exe

Install iTunes version 12.6.3 and enjoy again your iPod & NicePlus sync!

Best regards from Russia ;)

Yep! Retroactive is actually just an app that does exactly what that post does. But it does it neatly in the background and supports going all the way back to iTunes 10 if you want to regain cover flow.

I love it for managing older iDevices. Finder works; but iTunes works much better and puts everything in one place.
