I cant believe Apple has let us down on supporting the 5th gen iPod Nano in Monterey and prolly all MacOS after HighSierra!
Music will not function properly with the iPod Nano... im so dissapointed!
Is there any workaround so i will be able to use the Nano with Music? (where is that good old iTunes?)

I haven't run Monterey in some time, but when I did my 7th gen Nano was supported, so your 5th gen should be too. I suggest you download and install CoreTypes.pkg and MobileDeviceOnDemand.pkg, reboot and try again. At worst this won't hurt anything. See this post for download links.

One benefit with the messy heaviness of Windows, so much still works. I understand the philosophy Apple has with MacOS, keeping it lean and mean, but it comes with a cost.

I think they are irrelevant to my issue, they support iPhone and iPad

Look, I'm not here to twist your arm. Installing current versions of the packages has fixed iPod connection problems for other people, and for me. Good luck.

I don't want to disregard your help mate, but i am very puzzled over this. Tell me if this makes sence...

The MobileDeviceOnDemand.pkg and CoreTypes.pkg packages install/update components for Apple device identification, often helpful when Finder/iTunes doesn't "see" iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch on older Macs, and are part of MobileDevice support in macOS/High Sierra. But they don't contain anything that brings back the old iPod nano or iTunes syncing mechanism in the Music app.
