just wondering.
got a 20gb ipod as a...
went to put music on it this morning - and itunes wants to put all the music on my mac and then on the ipod.
i love my mac, i mix movies on, but i do not want it to replace my lovely stereo...
...i see no reason to have piles and piles of mp3's on my mac i just want them on my ipod.
is there any way to have the cd's i'm importing just be on the ipod and not on both my mac and ipod?

thanks,
nick

i need a widgit.
really anyone out there with a working widgit?

I believe you have to go the iPod preferences and turn off auto syncing and set it to manually update, move the music to it, then you should be able to delete it from your computer. And you should back them up to CDR or DVD-R just in case iPod gets lost or broken.
