iPod touch Ipod not charging looks like loose conection

Ok, 16 gb iPod touch, just over 12 months old, does not charge unless I hold USB cable in a certain position,

Should I try to clean connector ?

Please advise,

Has the connector dock been damaged in any way? Like forced hard in 1 direction?

it's very possible your connection port on your Touch is loose because this is exactly what happened to my phone and it's charging port. luckily my phone was replaced for free. back to the point, if the inside of your connection port isn't dirty and the USB cord works fine with other iPod's then it's probably safe to say you'll have to replace the connection port through Apple or the whole iPod itself.

Apple will most likely charge you for it. Or if there's a nice guy there, he will exchange it for free.
