iPod not tracking forward in podcasts

This happens with some of my podcasts. I can start a song, then it will begin to play, but the tracking time doesn't move forward--it just stays on 0:00 and the slider doesn't move forward as it plays. I can pause it and it will restart at the same spot, but if I choose another song the bookmark is lost. This is a 3GS with 4.01.
