ipod on iphone

I recently synced my iphone to my computer again this afternoon and now there are no songs in the ipod function of the iphone. I went back to make sure and they are there to be synced. In fact while the iphone is plugged in, i can see all the songs listed in the music folder of the iphone on my itunes, but when i look on the actual iphone there is nothing there. Anyone know whats going on?
