iPod touch iPod only charges half-full!

Hello!

I believe that my iPod Touch 4G 32GB has an issue with its battery.
Since a couple of weeks!! the device only charges about 40% even if leave it for 10 hours plugged in in its charger. No matter how long I charge it it just wouldn't go any further...

But once I unplug it from its charger its battery would only last for a couple of hours until its battery is too weak and the device shuts itself down automatically.

What to do now? .__.

My warranty is over...

Try killing the battery.

You'll need a new battery... either buy a replacement and do it yourself (google for guides) or you can pay 50$ for Apple to replace the battery.
