iPod problem still present after 3.0

Since day one I have been having the problem of the iPod application losing my place upon exiting. By this I mean I would be listining to a song on the way to work for example would stop part way through it and when I would return to the iPod application after work it would take a bit longer to load and will have lost my place and returns me to the song selection or album selection depending on where I began playing music in the first place. I was hoping that 3.0 may have corrected this issue but I guess not perhaps someday
