iPod problems on iPhone 3GS iOS 4.0

Hi everyone!

I am experiencing that the iPhone forgets during the day, which track I was playing, and where I stoped. Are You also experiencing this problem? This would not be that annoying, when listening to 4 min long songs, but I am usualli listening presentations taking one and half hour. After a half day the iPhone never knows the point from where is should go on playing.
Could help updating to 4.3.2? Or ANY other way? I am desperate, if this won't change I am selling my iPhone. But really like it very much, but this function is essential for me. Please help!

Could be a bug in iOS 4. Try restoring your iPhone and setting it up as new.

You can't update to 4.3.2, it's no longer being signed. If you don't rely on a jailbreak or unlock, update to 4.3.4.
