My iPod has been freezing for the last few days... and is now completely "stuck".

I was just listening to it via speakers and when it switched to the next song it froze... didnt want to play the next track

i let the battery die and recharched it...viola! = happy iPod

i listened to some more tunes...i turned it off; and when i turned it back on it was frozen at the song it was last playing.

For the last few days I have just let the battery drain... but it wont drain... it just keeps going to sleep... every 10 min or so i need to wake it up to get the battery to drain.. complete pain in the arse

never had any problems before... any ideas? Thanks in advance...

Did it freeze at the end of the same song? Maybe it's the song. If not... the next time you let it drain I would plug it in right away to your Mac, wipe the iPod, and start over.

It probably is a corrupt song.

But if it isn't, the iPod may need to be reset. To do this, hold down the play and menu buttons together for around 10 seconds.

I am not sure if this will solve the problem, but it solved mine when I could not turn on the iPod.

But still...

All right, this isn't exactly a problem, and I didn't want to start a whole new thread, but who has set the highest score in Breakout on their iPod? I think one member here asked about over 1000 points...well...

The King has set 1043 in 40 minutes!

And it does get real hard, but I will not let loose any features about certain levels on why the game gets harder as you go along.

I will try to beat that one day...

Don't know how frozen it was, but if it recognized input to wake it up, then turning on the backlight would drain it MUCH faster. I did this w/mine before I sent it back for repairs. Just a tip for the future.

I would be almost positive that that is a corupt song, I would doubt its the iPod.

My first iPod was a loser— had to send it back to Apple. I ALWAYS suspect the iPod now since it's Rev A/given me trouble. Just go to Apple's discussion board on the iPod— endless complaints. Be careful too, it's only got a 90 day warranty.

"When you have just 1 ball left on a three ball level, you should lose that ball with one block left, then with the new ball break that last block. This will add 3 balls to your score when you advance to the next level, a net gain of +2. If you were to keep that one ball and win, you would have a net gain of just +1. So all in all, on a 3 ball level, when you only have one ball left, lose it with only one block left and you.

The number of balls you receive as a bonus is equal to the number of balls still in play. If you have 3 balls on the screen when the level clears, you get 3 extra balls..."

Happy gaming! Highest documented score: 1376
