hey guys, i transfered the itune trax from my DELL laptop (which i sold) to my ipod30gb, i bought a new MacBook, and im new and loving it, so how can i transfer the songs from my ipod to MacBook?

well, first...you need to get a program called "ipod 2 Mac" or a similar program. That will rip all of the music off of your ipod and put it into a folder that you specify. Then you drag and drop that folder of music into iTunes. Presto Change-o iTunes organizes your music and syncs it to your iPod.

To the OP, when you use one of these programs, just be sure to verify everything has been copied before you try to sync with iTunes. Because after you sync with iTunes, what you have in iTunes will then be on your iPod and not the other way around. Hard lesson to learn the first time.

Agreed. Make sure everything is there before you fire up iTunes.

Just be careful what you click on. ITunes will want to automatically format your iPod to Mac, which of course means everythings gone. I don't remember if on the first connect iTunes launches. But if it does, then just quit out of the utility.

The program iPodRIP put all the song of your iPod directly into iTunes. No need to drag and drop folders.
