heya,

im trying to rip my 5th gen ipod to my external hard-drive (my mac is with my brother at the mo so im with my old ibook).

Ive downloaded ipodrip from
http://www.thelittleappfactory.com/application.php?app=iPodRip
which will hopefully do the job.

problem is that when i connect the ipod to the ibook surely it will automatically update the ipod with what the ibook itunes libary has. and i dont know how to change this auto update without connect an ipod!

little stuck, anyone have any suggestions?

ta.

Actually, when iTunes goes to check your iPod it'll notice it's not attached to your current Library.

It'll ask you if you want attach it to your computers Library (The blank one since you want to recover off of your iPod.)

Just leave that dialog box up and use your program to rip the songs off of it. That or enable disk usage. If you click yes, it'll wipe your iPod. So don't forget about that.
