hey everybody so i switched over to mac after my hp died but i need all my music. i have an ipod touch 32 GB 2nd generation and I want to get my music off it. i need a free music ripping program preferably that has no limit to how many songs i may rip at one time. thanks for the help everybody:eek:

well i did that and every free application has a limit on it.

that is wh y I asked the question.

the time limits im fine with because most are 30 days. its just that i have a huge music library and the one that does the most song is 1000 before the trial is over. i need one with an unlimited number of songs i can rip

Set Finder to view hidden files and folders (via terminal or OnyX).

Plug in iPod and open it in Finder.

All of your music should be in one of the hidden folders (can't remember the name).

If I'm not mistaken you can copy all of that music to your new HDD and then drag into iTunes. At least this is how it worked on my old Windoze machine.
