iPod section not showing custom Genre artwork

I have my music synced and multiple Genres with their default labels. Those show up in the iPod "Genre" list just fine. But I have created my own Genre and in iTunes selected the "Default Grid Artwork" which shows in iTunes just fine. However, after syncing, this does not show in the Genres section in the iPad. Is this a known issue?

Anybody have an answer to this? I'm also having the same problem. I made custom artwork for genres using a prog called "iTunes genre artwork manager".
