Hello guys!

Long time Mac owner, macrumors forum reader, rarely post unless i need to. Sooooo I just bought a refurb ipod shuffle 2G from the online apple store... and the first time I synced it and charged it after awhile the shuffle was hot all around.... is this normal or something that I should take a look at and bring it to the apple store?

Also is it safe to leave the shuffle and any other ipods in their docks while they are connected to the mac even though they are fully charged??? Would that mest up battery life?

Thanks anyone for any answers.

A little update also:

I left the shuffle and was watching Itunes and every so often a message pops saying looking for ipod... and then i got this message "The ipod "name of my ipod" cannot be synced. The required disc cannot be found." Any insight to this?? I can still see the shuffle in my itunes and see that it has my music after i click OK on the message.

It's normal for them to get hot as they sync and charge. It's also usually fine to leave it plugged in although unplug it when running system updates. However, the warning is a little worrying. Maybe give us a little more background information as to what you were doing when this happened. :)
