I have a IPOD Shuffle plugged into a PCMCIA USB 2.0 Card bus of my laptop. The IPOD is not recognised but the other accessories like my digital camera etc are able to send the data to my laptop. I have a Dell c600 laptop which also has a built in USB port, connecting to which my shuffle works...

Can anyone tell what could be the problem (any setting on my PCMCIA Card bus or Shuffle)...
:(

Most likely the iPod doesn't like to be plugged into a PCMCIA card. Does the card itself have a power supply? Maybe you need to plug in the power to get it to work properly.

I'd just use it with the built in port.
