I get really bored here (its wet, its cold, I'm going nowhere) so I am thinking of putting a tiny speaker and my iPod shuffle in my Lincoln Navigator R/C car. Has ANYBODY ever done (or seen) this? Can it work? What would I need to do to secure the shuffle? Thanks for your help guys!

Chewing gum...

Lots of it....

:D

Seriously though...
Carve a wooden mockup of the Shuffle to the same size, shape and use that for your prototyping.
One thing you can use to make 'cradles' for things is expanding unsulating foam - like the stuff you shoot into walls to seal cracks. The trick is you enclose the foam in fabric or plastic, to keep it from glomming onto the items. Position the items in an enclosed area, on the fabric, and shoot the foam in - it will expand and create a form-fitting mold around the object(s).

I saw an RC car in Target that you can stick an iPod/mp3 player in. Lemmie try to find it...

hmm well, couldn't find it online. But I did see it there!
