iPod ipod shuffle? quick reply needed :p

Hi i am thinking of buy a iPod shuffle from canada while im over here. Say something goes wrong with the iPod when i get back to the u.k., would Apple UK charge me anything to get it fixed seeing as its from canada?

with the exchange rate we got it is around 1 pound under the retail price. is there often problems with the shuffle?
