Ipod/ SMS in 3.0 beta 2

Recently i have had a this problem where i'd be listening to music and i would want to write a text so i open up SMS and my ipod shuts off even though i still wanted it to listen to music. Has anyone else had this problem? Do you think it could be a problem with memory?

i am running 3.0b and it does the same thing to me sometimes. i have tried restarting and a hard reset as well but it didnt fix the problem. the next time i tried it it worked fine

The iPod app probably ran out of memory. Or maybe Messaging is a new resource hog. Sometimes if I close Messaging while an MMS is being sent, it won't end up sending it and give me an error.
