Okay guys, so heres my story. I foolishly updated my shiny new iPod Touch 4 this morning, after realising how awesome it would be to jailbreak it. i did my research, googled everything and found only a tethered jailbreak is available for 4.2.1. that would've been fine, only im going on a school trip and i wont have access to my laptop.
so i continued my research and figured i should downgrade to 4.1 where i could use limera1n to jailbreak. this seemed fine. i found a neat little tutorial, told me to download the ipsw (whatever its called) i did. i used tiny umbrella, all was well.
then i "shift" clicked restore, selected my 4.1 ipsw file, waited a while and got my error "itunes could not restore ipod because error 1604" or something like that.
now heres my problem, im tired and decided to do this another day. all i want is to get back to my ipod. so i turn it on, and i get the connect to itunes page on my ipod. i press all the combinations of buttons, i try restoring, and i either get error 1604, or 1601.

can anybody help?
it would be awessome to get my ipod working by tuesday.

ANY help would be appreciated,
thanks,

AJ--
