iPod iPod Third Gen- what do I need to charge?

I've bought a cheap third generation iPod off eBay and need to get it to charge. I know it can sync through USB but can't charge. Only FireWire. What do I need to buy? Confused here...got a MacBook without firewire port

Well, you could either get the Thunderbolt to Firewire 800 adapter, Firewire 400 to 800 adaptor, and a Firewire 30 Pin connector and charge it through your computer, or the easier answer, get a 30 pin Firewire cord and a wall charger that's Firewire, and sync it through USB like you mentioned. That'd be cheaper most likely.

A firewire wall charger will work, but I imagine they're even less common than 3G iPods!

Cheers guys. Managed to get a firewire wall adapter and a firewire to 30 pin cable separately on eBay so that should work fine! Thanks!!!
