I bought a RCA cable that would plug directly into my ipod (3 to 1 sort of deal) and then into my TV. I heard from some guy here that he did that on a 60" (give or take) TV and that it looked great. I tried this today on a 65" Widescreen HD TV and it looked like crap. It was a TV show from iTunes (Aquaman) bought about 1 week ago. Someone said it could be the cheap cable I have, but I am not sure.

Any thoughts or experience with this?
Thanks!

I don't have a 65", but I have played iTMS videos from the iPod on my 27" and 40" LCDs and the 640x480 ones are very close to DVD quality. Doubt the cable matters.

Perhaps the scaler in your HDTV sucks? How does it do with any other composite video source to the same input? (e.g. a VHS deck).

My TV isn't nearly that big, but the 640 videos I've watched look darn close to DVD quality.

I have never experienced less than amazing quality from any input, xbox, vhs (well I do not have one but I presume) powerbook to dvi watching downloaded movie from itunes, cable etc.
I'm not sure what is up.
