iPod touch iPod Touch 1G 32GB FW 3.1.2, can't install Openssh?!

Blackra1n is on there, Rock & Icy too but every time I try to install Cydia it keeps saying "timeout".
Running into the same problem when Rock says I'm missing Openssh & when I go looking for it in Icy too.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

All I want to do it get a few themes running.

OK going to try restore, then only install Cydia.

As I said all I want is to get some themes going in Winterboard is it?
Is there an editor so I can make my own or do I have to ssh into the ipod & fiddle with the ones on there?

OK, fresh install & same problem.

Cydia won't download (timeout)

Plus in Rock:

Required component missing, OpenSSL. Tried to DL (timeout -1001).

How do I fix it?

So... Have now also tried fresh install -> Pwnage tool -> Cydia is installed.
Try to download OpenSSH & no joy.

Someone please have some help?
