Hi guys,

I couldn't find anything about not posting jailbreak-related posts, so I was wondering if someone could help me out.

I have a iPod Touch first generation running iOS 2.0.1, old I know but my problem is that the net doesn't chuck up many results on the best way to go about jailbreaking it - so I was wondering if someone could advise me on the best method? :)

Apologies if this post isn't actually meant to be here :p

I suggest upgrading to iOS 3.1.3. While it is a paid upgrade, it can be found for free. Posting links to it on MacRumors is not allowed though. With that, jailbreak it with redsn0w by pointing redsn0w at a 3.1.2 IPSW.

If you really want to stay at iOS 2.0.1, not recommended, you'll have to find and use a very old version of PwnageTool.
