Would it be safe to charge an iPod Touch 1st gen with Apple charger for iPhone 5s or with Apple charger for iPad Mini 4?

The USB end on the original cable seems to fit into the iPhone 5s charger.

The original charger for the iPod is no longer working but I don't want to risk frying the device by connecting to an incompatible charger.

Thanks for any informed opinions....

All Apple chargers will charge Apple devices with the correct amount of power. You might charge slower if you use a charger meant for a phone on a tablet due to the limitation of a smaller charger, but you will not fry anything.

A good charger (not a knockoff) will negotiate with the device for the power supply needed. So there really is no chance of frying.

Thanks, cruisin, for the reassurance!
Couldn't risk losing a ton of irreplaceable podcasts stored on it
