iPod touch iPod Touch 2.2- "Does your backspace still stick?"

Even after 2.2 update, when I hold the backspace button to delete something in a search bar, after I lift up my thumb, it still appears grey, and continues to backspace. Anyone else still having this problem/ have this problem?

general typing in webpages seems laggy for me. Perhaps even laggier than previous firmwares.
