I somehow got a free ipod touch 3g on my hands, and would like to replace my old 2g. The thing is, the screen on the front is seriously scratched, and the lcd is kinda damaged. Are there any differences in the hardware structure between the 2g and the 3g? Could i replace it with the 2g screen?
On a side note, i noticed that the 3g screen appears darker than the 2g screen when both are off. I thought the only changes were the cpu and ram?
