iPod touch Ipod Touch 2G Charging Times

I know that on apples website it says i takes about 2 hours or more to get 80% battery life and 4 hours for 100% battery life but when i charge my ipod ouch it takes about 2 and half or three hours or even less for a full charge.
Is that normal and should i just leave it charging for 4 hours even if its seems to be fully charged?

When apple tests those it is the average time for a number of units, that is entirely normal. No need to worry at all, in fact be glad you can charge in that amount of time. One question though, how long does the charge hold?

it actually varies but about 3-4 hours with a mixture of music,safari, and app games.
