iPod touch 2G HP + Intel branded unit?

Hi,
I'm a little stumped with my find, I found this in a junk shop close to my home, it was sold as junk.
I had watched a video from Michael MJD who had shown off the iPod + HP collaboration, however this ended years before this iPod would have been released.
What do you guys think?

There appears to be nothing special on the firmware side of things as its running iOS 4 and not any beta or prototype firmware.
