I was at my local Future Shop, and I was looking for a new dock for my iPod Touch and while finding one that I needed, I also saw a price drop on the 2G models. 8GB:$180, 16GB:$230, 32GB:$310. I asked one of the workers if they were on sale, and the guy said no. Than we had a little talk about the new 3G iPod Touch, and how they were trying to get rid of the 2G.

I'm guessing the new iPod Touch is coming out but nothing about camera and other stuff thats "Real evidence"

no doubt the touch will drop in price once the new ones come out, everyone is trying to sell the 2g before it becomes worth less

September is notably iPod month for Apple.

Hence, why there are free iPod Touches being given away with computer purchases from Apple, as well as price drops in the iPod Touch itself.

Apple's just trying to clear some inventory in time for the big release. Either way, those are some really good prices on the iPod Touch.
