iPod touch iPod Touch 2G Repeatedly Resets

My 2G iPod touch as been working fine until today. I was watching a movie and the battery died. Then screen went black with just the apple logo. I connected it to my computer to charge it and it sycned and charged but he screen is still black with the apple logo. I tried to reset it and the same thing still shows. Then I restored my iPod from iTunes and reloaded all of the content onto it. Now to still just shows a black screen and apple logo and it repeatedly resets itself every 10sih min. Any fixes?
