If I ever turn wifi off to save battery and turn it back on in range of a known wifi signal, it says that is connected in the settings screen but the signal strength bars do not come up at the top of the screen and it refuses to access the internet. The only fix that I have is to make it forget that network and reconnect, which is fine except at home i have a wep key that gets erased. Is there a fix for this issue or is something wrong with my ipod?

thanks for any help.

I have the same problem, my solution is to keep wifi on, I dont get what happens when I turn it off and turn it back on but it sure is difficult to reconnect. The ipod can see the wifi but the router wont assign it the ip address and all that jazz. My solution isnt the best (due to battery drain) but it solves the problem. Anyone have a better solution?

Also what kind of router do you use? I have a Netgear and use WEP I think.
