Hi everyone,

I am an owner of a 2G ipod touch and had updated to 3.1.2 a few weeks ago. Two days ago my ipod started to have trouble picking up wifi, where the signal would be very weak and often disconnect. I know the problem is not router specific, as it is happening at all the hotspots I normally connect at. After searching about this issue, it appears that this has been a huge issue for lots of iPhone owners, following the 3.0 and 3.1.2 updates. The problem has been reported in these threads:

Has anyone had similar problems with their ipod touch? If so, please post here and we can keep a log of our experiences and possible solutions. Apple has yet to acknowledge the issue nor come up with a fix at the moment.

I find 3.1.2 wi-fi a huge improvement after 3.0 where I couldn't even download a small app of a couple of megabyte and short youtube videos would only load the first few seconds. It is still not as good as 2.2.1 which was rock solid for me but at least I can use it now.

I also miss 2.2.1 since upgrading to 3.1.2. My wifi with 2.2.1 was solid and had excellent range. Now it just seems ok. I wish they would put out an update to make wifi like it used to be.
