Hey all,
I plugged my ipod touch 2nd gen into my macbook pro today to sync it after a 5 mile run with the nike+ ipod.
iTunes prompted me to update my ipod. I had previously been on software update 2 still because i never felt like paying to upgrade to 3. The update however did not prompt me to pay for anything so I figured why not.
Well the update began to download a rather large 277mb file. I took the time while it was downloading the file to do other things.
I came back to my ipod to find that it is now messed up. It is stuck on the cable and arrow pointing to itunes screen. Further itunes tells me that my iPod is in recovery mode. I tried to restore it rather unhappily. iTunes then tries to download the same 277mb file. It reaches the end of the download quite a bit later and then proceeds to do nothing. My ipod is messed up.
I have restarted my computer, used a different computer, and tried resetting the ipod multiple times to no avail. I have the newest version of itunes and have snow leopard 10.6.4 running.
My ipod is way out of warranty and I just need a way to fix it.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
