Okay, so a few days, my jailbroken (blackra1n, I believe, it was done over two years ago) iPod Touch 2nd gen's battery died from the alarm function.. now, it doesn't really turn on. When I try to, the screen pops up with a red battery with a lightning bolt beneath it (or the connect to charger variant with the plug and bolt) or the silver apple icon. I even went out and bought a wall charger, I let it charge like ~24hr in the wall, but it still didn't change anything.

A few minutes ago, I managed to -somehow- get to a screen that had the plug-arrow-itunes picture, but that quickly went away. Tried to do it again, but no luck.

Now, I ordered a battery replacement, but before I actually try anything, is there a chance that it actually is the battery? I've had the iPod for about three years now.. so.. I'd appreciate any help. I've been googling, but my problem remains unsolved.

By the way, I forgot to mention that my computer doesn't even recognize the iPod.
