I am frustrated as most people who bought a 2nd Gen touch that lots of items do not work with the to new iPod Touches. I thought it would be helpful people people to list docks/charges and whatever else uses the connector that works or does not work so people (like myself) can figure out what to buy. For items that do not work, it would be helpful to list a model number if they have one. For example I know that both of my Monster car chargers do not work, but I dont have a model number with me so that info is not very useful. Hopefully this can get everyone a knowledge base of what does and does not work.
Thanks!

Basically anything that works with the iPhone 3G or has a USB port on it will work. And anything that can charge a 3G iPod, will not work.

The Eclipse CD2000 (and other Eclipse car CD/Recievers) using the Eclipse iPod Connector are partially incompatible with new iPod Touch 2G.

The new Sony Clock Radio (white and black) on the website store works brilliantly for charging and using on a 2G.

Old Transdocks by DLO do NOT work to charge the 2G anymore. They can still play the music, tho.

I did not realize this so if it works with a 3G iPhone it will work with a 2nd gen touch correct?

The JVC KD-HDR1 HD Radio/CD Receiver with the JVC KSPD100 iPod Adapter wont work and its pissing me off. I spent $200 getting setting this up so it would work with my old nano a few months ago and now I buy the new iPod touch 2G and it wont work. Do you think they can come out with a firmware update so it can work?

It should, as most of the problems are related to not having USB charging, and instead having Firewire. I think 2.1.1 on the Touch got a little touchy and disabled all items that use Firewire for any purpose.

That is a good start, but still only part of it. It is impossible for someone to know (unless they dig into tech specs) if a device with a solid (or built in) dock connector is utilizing USB, Firewire, or just the serial circuitry of the iPod. The issue lies in what pinouts the device is looking at to charge the ipod, and what pins said device is monitoring to tell it if an iPod is docked.

While this link does not go into detail in regards to this exact topic, it does show a breakdown of the pins on the iPod dock connector.
