Hi there.

I've been trying to get my iPod to connect all day. It's a 2nd Gen 2009. Itunes comes up with a message saying something about an invalid response from the ipod and won't connect. I've tried changing cables/ports/hard resetting the ipod/resetting the Mac/restoring the ipod from iTunes by putting it in recovery mode etc etc.

When I connect it via USB it doesn't show up in iTunes, nor in Finder. If I open System Information it is shown as being connected under USB 3.0 Bus, so at some level it's connected. When I connect the iPod to my wife's PC it connects to iTunes with no problem at all and it works fine in the car, so I don't think it's a hardware issue. I'm not running any anti virus software on the Mac.

What gives? Anyone got any suggestions? I've Googled loads but not found anything.

Many thanks!
